Maurizio Mucciola



Architect, founding Director at PiM.studio Architects

Before establishing PiM.studio Architects in London in 2016, Maurizio has worked at OMA/Rem Koolhaas in Rotterdam during 2008, and at Kengo Kuma & Associates since 2009 for over 7 years between Tokyo, Edinburgh and Paris.
At KKAA, as Project Architect, Maurizio has been in charge of several international competition and cultural projects, including the Columbia University Medical School campus revitalization in New York, and the Progetto Manifattura in Rovereto, Italy, where an old cigarette factory is being converted into a 40,000 sqm hub for
innovation.
Maurizio has lead the team behind the V&A Museum of Design in Dundee from winning the design competition in 2010 and until Construction.
In 2016 he has been appointed with PiM.studio to complete the delivery of the V&A project retaining his Project Architect role. The Museum is due to open in 2018.
Maurizio holds a Master of Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano and a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University in New York.
He is a Registered Architect in UK and a chartered member of RIBA and RIAS.
